Who runs this site
scotttaylor.net is run by Scott Taylor, an independent analytics consultant based in Bloomington, Illinois. Questions about this policy go to scott@scotttaylor.net.
What the site collects
The site has no forms and no accounts. Two analytics tools show how many people visit and which parts of the page they use:
- Google Analytics sets cookies and records the pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, the site that referred the visit, and clicks on the booking and email links. Google processes this data under its privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and measures page speed without cookies or personal identifiers, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Hosting and security
Cloudflare serves the site. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, it processes each visitor's IP address and request details.
Booking a call
The Book an intro call button opens a booking page hosted by Proton. What you enter there, such as your name, email address and notes, goes to Proton and to me, and is used only to arrange and prepare for the call. Proton handles it under its privacy policy.
Messages to scott@scotttaylor.net pass through Cloudflare's email routing to my inbox. I use what you send only to reply and to carry out any work we agree on.
What I don't do
I don't sell or rent personal information, and I don't use it for advertising.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. To find out what I hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email scott@scotttaylor.net.
